KETTERING, Ohio -- Rick Springfield performed for thousands of people at the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering July 18.

Fans piled in early Friday morning to see Springfield practice before his big show, and they also were able to give him gifts and receive autographs.

Springfield has sold more than 19 million albums worldwide. He said he loves to entertain and connect with fans.

His new CD, "Venus In Overdrive," comes out July 29, 2008.
